Description –

Dr Prachi Suman Shingala, has finished her BDS from Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal Karnataka and her MDS from AB Shetty Institute of Dental Sciences, Mangalore Karnataka. She is also the recipient of the prestigious A.K Munshi Gold Medal in Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry and has 5 publications under her name in prestigious international and national journals.

Following her post graduation, Dr Prachi’s dire interest in finding the root cause behind Poor Jaw growth and presence of poor oral habits in children lead her to pursue Fellowship in Craniofacial Myology and Pediatric Sleep from Chennai. She also has her certification in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, from Breathe Institute, LA, USA.

Due to the growing need and demand for addressing pediatric sleep and airway issues in children among her community,  Dr Prachi along with her husband founded “Airway Dentistry” as a separate wing in their dental hospital in the year 2022. Owing, to the importance Breastfeeding has in pediatric airway and sleep health, they also opened an exclusive Breastfeeding Clinic in their hospital in the same year. Since then, they have been actively practicing Pediatric Dental Sleep Health and has been treating Breastfeeding challenges in infants and mothers along with a whole team consisting of health professionals from various fields all focused to help the family breathe, sleep and function better.

Their team consists of Lactation Professionals, Occupational Therapists, SLP, ENTs, Pediatricians, Myofunctional Therapists, Maxillofacial Surgeon, Orthodontists and Pediatric Dentists all speaking the same language of airway and sleep health.

Dr Prachi is also extremely active in various awareness programs both online and offline. She is an avid reader and constantly strives in updating herself and her entire team to latest scientific developments.

Dr Prachi is also a co-founder of her clinic in Rajkot, alongwith her husband Dr Hardik Shingala who is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Implantologist and TMD specialist. Alongwith the entire Sleep Team, they have now opened their services to Adult Sleep Health as well.

Since, Oraface Dental Hospital is a multi-speciality clinic, all the dental needs of the patient is also catered. Dr Pooja, is a Cosmetic Dental Surgeon at the clinic who handles all the cosmetic dental procedures for adults.
